University Studies
After graduating from high school in Goettingen in the spring of 1935, Elisabeth Noelle first attended courses at the private art academy Atelier Breuhaus in Berlin. As from autumn 1935, she studied journalism, history, and philosophy in Berlin, Koenigsberg, Munich, and Columbia/Missouri. In 1940, she received her PhD in Berlin with a dissertation on “American Mass Surveys on Politics and the Press”.
